Puppy Socialisation: Positive Exposure Without Overwhelm
Good socialisation is about manageable positive experiences, not simply exposing a puppy to as many things as possible.
Introduce people, sounds, surfaces, handling and environments at a level your puppy can cope with. Allow observation from a comfortable distance and pair new experiences with calm positive outcomes. Stop or increase distance when the puppy becomes overwhelmed.
The quality of recovery matters. A puppy that can observe, eat, play and settle again is often learning more constructively than one pushed into interaction. Ask your veterinary professional about safe exposure before vaccination is complete.
Educational guidance only. Health, pain, medication or urgent concerns require appropriate veterinary advice.
